The eTwinning project ''Digital Explorers and Promoters of Cultural Heritage'' - the results of the final evaluation forms for students




In March 2025, the 205 participants in the eTwinning project ''Digital Explorers and Promoters of Cultural Heritage'', from the six schools located in France, Greece, Romania and Turkey, filled in the final questionnaire aimed at gathering their feedback regarding their experiences and impressions of the international partnership. Their responses were compiled and analyzed in order to understand the satisfaction levels, impact, and areas for improvement.

As far as the individual acheievement of the project goals is concerned, as a result of the students' participation in this eTwinning project, here is the hierarchy:
  • 143 students - 69,8%: intercultural dialogue, creative expression, student agency and digital literacy through international collaboration and good practice exchange;
  • 127 students - 62%: improved knowledge, attitudes, skills and key competences for lifelong learning;
  • 113 students - 55, 1%: gaining a deeper appreciation and understanding of cultural heritage;
  • 108 students - 52, 7%: experiencing active participation in the preservation of cultural heritage and promotion of sustainable tourism.
When asked about their awareness of the importance of online safety, 200 students (97,6%) gave an affirmative answer, while only 5 students (2,4%) selected the answer No.

The key-competences most developed/improved by the participants during the project ''Digital Explorers and Promoters of Cultural Heritage'' were: 
  • Multilingual competence (in English) - 140 students, 68,3%;
  • Personal, social and learning to learn competence - 129 students, 62,9%;
  • Cultural awareness and expression competence - 127 students, 62%;
  • Digital competence - 126 students, 61,5%;
  • Citizenship competence - 87 students, 42,4%.
When asked which of their 21st century skills were improved during the project activities, the following answers were provided by the participants:
  • 168 students, 82 % : Learning Skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication);
  • 118 students, 57,6 % : Life Skills (flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity, social skills);
  • 111 students , 54,1 % : Literacy Skills (information, media, technology).
When asked whether the project ''Digital Explorers and Promoters of Cultural Heritage'' had been a positive learning experience, 205 students - 99,5% answered Yes, while only one student disagreed.

The results of the final questionnaire completed by the 205 student participants in the eTwinning project “Digital Explorers and Promoters of Cultural Heritage” reflect a highly positive and impactful learning experience, indicating that the project effectively achieved its core objectives, particularly in fostering intercultural dialogue, enhancing digital literacy, and promoting student agency through international collaboration.

A majority of students reported significant growth in key competences, especially in multilingual communication, personal and social development, cultural awareness, and digital skills, which are the key pillars of 21st-century education. Notably, 82% of participants recognized improvements in critical learning skills such as creativity, collaboration, and communication, which are essential for their future academic and professional paths.

The project's success in raising awareness of online safety - with nearly 98% of students acknowledging its importance - demonstrates its relevance in the current digital age. Furthermore, the overwhelmingly positive feedback, with 99.5% of students considering the project a positive educational experience, underscores its value in supporting meaningful, student-centered learning.

In conclusion, the eTwinning project “Digital Explorers and Promoters of Cultural Heritage” stands out as a model of how cross-cultural, experiential, and digitally integrated projects can inspire and empower students while strengthening their competences for lifelong learning and responsible global citizenship.
