Bookfest 2025 - sharing the multimedia presentations created by the 10th grade students for the eTwinning project

On January 20 and 23, the participants in the bilateral eTwinning project "Bookfest 2025" shared the presentations of their favourite books in front of their teacher and peers. The activity enhanced their communication and presentation skills, promoted cross-cultural understanding, encouraged creativity and digital literacy, fostered critical thinking and analysis, and built collaboration and peer learning.
First of all, by presenting their work in front of an audience, they improved public speaking, articulation, and confidence. The students learned how to express their thoughts clearly and engage their peers, which are valuable skills for future academic and professional contexts.
Secondly, the transnational competition allowed the Romanian project participants to develop positive attitudes such as mutual respect, understanding of global perspectives, and appreciation of different storytelling traditions.
What is more, the analysis of a favourite book and the adaptation of its content into a multimedia format required the students to think critically about themes, characters, and messages. They learned to summarize complex ideas and convey them in a compelling and accessible way.
Last, but not least, sharing presentations with peers opened opportunities for feedback, discussion, and exchange of ideas, creating a collaborative learning environment where students can learn from each other's interpretations, presentation styles, and creativity.

On 15 January 2025, Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu" celebrated Romania's National Culture Day,
a memorable educational event dedicated to honoring our country's rich artistic, literary and cultural heritage.
The date coincides with the birthday of Mihai Eminescu, Romania's national poet, whose timeless works continue to inspire generations.
This year held special significance as it marked the 175th anniversary of Mihai Eminescu’s birthday, the perfect occasion to celebrate both his genius and his enduring influence on Romanian literature and identity.

bringing together our school community to reflect on our country's cultural achievements and the profound legacy of one of its greatest literary figures.
The creativity workshop held within the educational project "Dor de Eminescu/Missing Our National Poet", implemented at county level by Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu" during the 2024-2025 school year, was coordinated by two teachers: Mrs. Adelaida Loredana IORGA (teacher of Romanian)
