“Let’s Be Well Together!” (an original song created for the homonymous eTwinning project)

“Let’s Be Well Together!”

an original song created for the eTwinning project “Let’s Be Well Together!”

(2023-2024)

Chorus:

Let’s be well together,

Let’s be well today,

Tomorrow we’ll wake up

And smile at a new day.

Let’s be well together,

Let’s be well today,

No matter what happens

We will find a way!

Let’s be friends, let’s be strong,

Let’s be well together,

‘Cause you and I will change the world;

Let’s have hope, let’s be bold,

Let’s be well together,

Don’t ever feel sad or alone!

Chorus:

Let’s be well together,

Let’s be well today,

Tomorrow we’ll wake up

And smile at a new day.

Let’s be well together,

Let’s be well today,

No matter what happens

We will find a way!

Let’s be kind, let’s be brave,

Let’s be well together,

‘Cause life is a gift we all share

Let’s hold hands, let’s all smile,

Let’s be well together,

No matter the weather, we shine.

Chorus:

Let’s be well together,

Let’s be well today,

Tomorrow we’ll wake up

And smile at a new day.

Let’s be well together,

Let’s be well today,

No matter what happens

We will find a way!

A Different Kind of Thanksgiving Celebrated at an eTwinning school

24 November 2023 was about sharing and caring and expressing their beautiful feelings and emotions for the 9th graders enrolled in the humanities class at Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu" in Pătârlagele town.
Together with their friends, they had the opportunity to use their creativity, sensitivity and sense of beauty, to showcase their collaborative work and share the joy of belonging to an inclusive and supportive school environment.
All these were possible due to the educational project "Poveștile Toamnei/ Autumn Tales" initiated and coordinated by Mrs. Mihaela Neacșu.

The Pedagogical Meeting of the Teachers of English 22/11/2023

On 22 November 2023, 17 teachers of English, coordinated by Mrs. Daniela Gianina Cociodar, Inspector of Foreign Languages at Buzău County School Inspectorate, attended the pedagogical activities held at Școala Gimnazială „Ing. Oprișan Iarca” Unguriu.

Mrs. Mădălina Costache and her class of 5th graders took us all on an informative and formative journey dedicated to the celebration of Thanksgiving Day 2023. The English lesson entitled "Across Culture: Why We Have to Be Thankful!" integrated both traditional and modern learning strategies and resources to enrich knowledge, improve linguistic competences and develop positive attitudes and behaviours in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. The relaxed and joyful atmosphere reminded us all to count our blessings and be more appreciative on a daily basis.

On behalf of everyone present, I would like to congratulate both the pupils and their teacher on their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication and extend our deepest gratitude to the entire school community in Unguriu, especially to Mrs. Steluța Silvestru Grigore, the school principal, for their support, warm reception and hospitality.

The next pedagogical meeting will be held in May 2024, at Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu" in Pătârlagele town.

"The World in My Words" - the 17th edition of the speech contest dedicated to Global Education Week 2023

Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu" Pătârlagele and Liceul Teoretic "Nicolae Iorga" Nehoiu organised the 17th edition of the speech contest dedicated to Global Education Week, creating an opportunity for their students to reflect on the theme of this year’s GEW, "Peace for the Planet: A Planet of Peace", while improving their skills in research, critical and creative thinking, organization, problem-solving, persuasion and communication in English.
The event was organized with the following objectives in mind:
- to give the students from two schools the opportunity to express their ideas in an eloquent and effective way;
- to encourage the online collaboration between the students and teachers of the two partner schools;
- to develop and improve the participants' linguistic, civic and learning to learn key-competences, as well as their critical and creative thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills;
- to inspire and motivate both the participants and the extended school communities to unite under common goals and causes such as positive change, solidarity, non-violence, global citizenship, tolerance, sustainability, etc.
- to promote educational partnerships, the exchange of pedagogical experience and good practices.

The participants' commitment and enthusiasm inspired and motivated the members of our school communities to strengthen our collaboration and create even more opportunities for student empowerment and meaningful student involvement.
