The final educational activities designed with the students of Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu" enrolled in class 11 U (the humanities profile) were based on creativity, collaboration and European values.
During the 2025–2026 school year, we actively participated in the eTwinning project “A Song for Our Souls in an English-Speaking World”, a multidisciplinary educational initiative that combined music, intercultural dialogue, creativity, technology, and collaborative learning. Guided by their teacher of English, Mrs. Claudia Emilia Frînculeasă, the project founder, the Romanian students engaged in a variety of meaningful activities that encouraged artistic expression, teamwork, communication skills, and digital competence.
The culminating moment of the project took place in May 2026, when the students from Romania and Poland collaborated to create an original song entitled “The Singing World”. Inspired by the keywords and values identified in the national songs presented throughout the project, the students enrolled at Liceul Teoretic "Nicolae Iorga", Nehoiu, coordinated by their teacher of English, Mrs. Maria Pană, had the wonderful initiative of working together to write lyrics that reflected their shared experiences, emotions, and aspirations and use artificial intelligence-based tools to transform collective ideas into a collaborative artistic production that became the symbolic anthem of the project. The process included brainstorming sessions, lyric writing, selecting meaningful vocabulary, and organizing ideas around themes such as hope, peace, resilience, life, story, future, and solidarity.
The lyrics of the song beautifully express the spirit of unity and optimism developed during the partnership:

On May 29, at Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu", we seized the opportunity to sing the song, translate the lyrics of the song into Romanian and discuss about their inspirational message:

The final collaborative product represented one of the most valuable achievements of the project because it successfully combined artistic creativity, intercultural communication, and innovative technology. The students emphasized that composing this “song for the soul” integrated the contributions of all active project members and strengthened the understanding of common European values.
The activity brought numerous educational benefits:
- improved creativity and self-expression;
- enhanced teamwork and collaborative problem-solving;
- development of digital and AI literacy;
- increased confidence in using English creatively;
- emotional expression through music and poetry;
- a stronger sense of belonging to a European learning community.
The song became a testimony of friendship, empathy, creativity, and cohesion developed during the project.
Through its interdisciplinary activities, innovative collaborative products, and creative use of technology, the eTwinning project “A Song for Our Souls in an English-Speaking World” represents an authentic example of European educational good practice. For the students of class 11 U, the humanities profile, the project became an opportunity for personal growth, intercultural dialogue, artistic discovery, and meaningful international friendship. This final educational experience demonstrated that music, technology, and collaboration can transform school into a dynamic space of creativity, empathy, and authentic human connection.
