Two theoretical high schools located in Pătârlagele town, Buzău county, Romania - Liceul Teoretic "Radu Vlădescu" Pătârlagele and Liceul Teoretic "Nicolae Iorga" Nehoiu - organised the 18th edition of the speech contest dedicated to Global Education Week 2024, creating an opportunity for their students to reflect on the theme of this year’s GEW, "Connected People for an Inclusive Planet", while improving their skills in research, critical and creative thinking, organization, problem-solving, persuasion and communication in English.
Their ideas inspired and motivated the members of our school communities to unite under common goals and causes such as youth activism, positive change, inclusion, equality, equity, solidarity, tolerance, respect for diversity etc.
