International Day of Happiness 2022 with the Future Graduates

On 23 March 2022, the eighteen 8th graders involved in the eTwinning project "Împreună pentru profilul absolventului/Together for the Graduate Profile", as well as their teachers of Romanian and English (Mrs. Adelaida Loredana Iorga and Mrs. Claudia Emilia Frînculeasă), celebrated the International Day of Happiness 2022 with original, collaborative posters.

The project-based learning activities developed the students' 21st century skills, especially the 4 C's of 21st Century Skills: Critical thinking: Finding solutions to problems; Creativity: Thinking outside the box; Collaboration: Working with others; Communication: Talking to others.

Moreover, the teachers were able to assess the students' linguistic, social and civic potential, their emotional well-being and individual attitudes toward the main topic of the project and identify their strong points and vulnerabilities as well as their further educational needs.

Last, but not least, the transdisciplinary lesson was related to several communicative functions from the English language curriculum for the 8th grade: expressing cause-effect relationships, articulating perspectives, quoting, reporting events. expressing opinions, advice, recommendations, expectations, wishes, preferences, suggestions etc.

Celebrating the International Day of Forests 2022

Three teachers of English, implementing the eTwinning project "Today's Seeds, Tomorrow's Trees" in their schools, decided to embrace the multi-disciplinary approach and provide their students with a community workshop whose main aims are derived from the national curricular competences and contents in order to give the learners agency and to empower them through reflection, collaboration, critical and creative thinking and so on.
The young project participants' exploration and investigation of a topic of global importance - (the protection and conservation of) forests - allowed them to share ideas, express opinions, make connections and suggest environmental solutions in a friendly, comfortable and relaxed environment.
